The Dark Souls series (AKA Souls series) has been one of the most influential and crucial video games of the modern age, and the reason for that was because games were beginning to become more accessible, and the video games had to appeal to a broad audience of all skill levels. The Dark Souls games wanted to challenge the notion that games had to be easy to be good. So the Dark Souls games proved that you can have a challenging game that is not unfair and is extremely enjoyable.
